After the tutorial, the tutor suggested me can do the first intervention via survey to test out if the Taiwanese society is conservative through my picture. So I put the picture, down below, to ask the participant’s sexual orientation then ask them about whether this photo a documentary photography or pornography.

I’ve sent out the survey to my friends and asked them to send it out to their friends, no matter their sexuality, who is willing to do the survey.
I’ve received 18 responses from 11 homosexuals man/woman and 7 heterosexuals man/woman.

And the result of their thoughts of this photo:

So half of them thought the picture I’ve showed was a documentary photography. That is to say, Taiwan may not be a conservative society by now. But surprisingly, if we look into the proportion of the respondents and the result of the their thought on the picture, it can be interpret as their still some gay respondents would think this as a pornography. Because I’ve got 11 gay respondents and 7 heterosexual respondents, and it should be more than half for voting this picture as documentary photography if we have 11 gay respondents.
So in some way, Taiwan may see as a non-conservative country on the surface, but still, there are some minorities may consider themselves as conservatory.
