These are the images I captured for this project so far. I’ve mentioned I would like to create a storytelling fashion editorial to document my gay social and sex life in London. I want to be an editor to be in charge of the fashion editorial for my career, so I want to challenge myself to do a fashion editorial which I’ve never done before by myself to see how it goes.
I involved some archive pieces I’ve collected through the years and all the images were taken in my place in Mayfair, London. I used the strong flashlight for most of the pictures, because I got inspired by Boris Mikhailov, Juergen Teller and Wolfgang Tillmans. And I think to use strong flashlight would give the image a bit more trueness and fleshy.
The first image is that I want to create a pic with a bit of cuteness and a hint of erotic feel in it, so I put the owl bag and condoms together to produce a bit of contradictory feeling.
The second image is that I want to depict the mood that I’m waiting for Mike to come my place, so i put on this extra hoodie from Prada and had a little fun with it.
The third image I’ve created with Mike. I met Mike through Grindr and he was so kind and willing to let me take picture with him and we took the third picture together in my place. The reason I wore this Prada 2019 shirt for this picture was that I think the prints and the colors captured my mood at that time: colorful and joyful. Cause I’ve mention from the previous articles said that it was hard to find one for meeting. But when Mike texted me through Grindr, I was so thrilled and happy to have him here. So, I think the shirt just well described the mood I was in.
Once again, if this project went well, it would be the first fashion editorial I’ve done by myself. I think I’ll learn a lot from this, because I have to manage many things and details for the picture on my own, from setting, lighting, model, mood and styling. I think I’ll gained a lot from this.
p.s. I’m really sorry if anyone got offended by my butt. I know it’s hairy and not good looking, but it’s the real me and the real mood.
